The Centre for Marine Environmental Education & Sustainability (CeMEES) is a registered non-profit educational Trust committed to providing interactive and stimulating hands-on educational experiences and exposure to learners, students and youth through ocean based activities.

We aim to connect Namibians to their ocean heritage to promote stewardship, conservation and sustainability of our rich Benguela Large Marine Ecosystem. We further aim to promote science education using the ocean as a natural laboratory and classroom, while developing knowledge and practical skills as a foundation for future learning.

Vision: To enrich the educational experience and lives through the ocean.

Mission: To connect Namibians to their ocean heritage through hands-on educational and community programs to promote ocean stewardship, conservation and sustainability, while improving livelihoods.

Overall Objective: To promote Ocean Literacy through developing knowledge and understanding of the marine environment, while promoting science education and fostering a deeper connection and responsibility towards the ocean.
